Rod Stabler

Statement:  “There is something deeply satisfying about unleashing the beauty of raw wood. Each piece has its own personality and character.”

Bio:  Rod has worked with various forms of wood for approximately 40 years. He has created custom aviaries, cabinetry, and other furniture and he has turned bowls, platters and vessels. The process of developing a design and turning raw wood into a finished object never gets old for him.

Memberships, Shows and Exhibitions

 

Rod is a member of the American Association of Wood Turners, The Cumberland Valley Wood Turners and the Adams County Arts Council. He has exhibited turned pieces at The Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown, Maryland, The Western Maryland Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown, Marylsnd, the Adams County Annual Juried Art Show, Gettysburg, PA., and the Franklin County Art Alliance Annual Show, Chambersburg, PA.
